Larger trials needed for Parkinson's disease

Most trials of drug treatment for Parkinson's disease have crucial methodological faults and provide little reliable evidence on differences between classes of drugs, argue Wheatley and colleagues (p 1508). They believe that much larger trials are needed with long term follow up and end points of relevance to patients, and suggest that those who treat patients with Parkinson's disease must accept the need for large pragmatic trials and participate in them.
